Dr. Joanes Atela
Joanes is the Nairobi City Lead, responsible for providing overall research and impact leadership for the Nairobi Hub. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) and the High Level Panel on Africa’s Green innovation Framework Lead.  Joanes coordinates the Africa Sustainability Hub; a UK-Africa capacity building partnership, and is the convenor of the Africa Research and Impact Network (ARIN); an impact network focusing on research excellence, outreach and policy in Africa through peer learning. Joanes has published widely (over 50 scientific articles) and has participated in over 30 high level panels as a keynote speaker.  Joanes holds a PhD in Environment and Development from the University of Leads.
