Senior Management Team
The Senior Management Team (SMT) ultimately governs the entire Tomorrows Cities Hub and is the key decision making body. SMT works together to deliver the Hub’s overall purpose and sets in place all operating functions to guarantee the effective delivery of Tomorrows Cities, ensuring that the Hub’s overarching governance is fit for purpose. SMT leads in reporting and works collaboratively to meet the funders reporting and evaluation requirements.

Operations Team
The Operations Team consists of representatives from the University of Edinburgh including the project manager, finance manager, communications officer and project administrator. The team also consists of representatives across the project including Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) leads, and operational coordinators across the cities. The purpose of the operations team is to act as a central point of contact for project management, administrative support and coordination and ensure that the project complies with the Terms and Conditions of the funder. The team ensures that there are robust financial structures in place and that these structures are supported and implemented effectively. Support is provided on communications (e.g. website, translation), knowledge exchange and MEL and on all planning, monitoring and reporting of the project. The team works together to deliver the Hub’s overall purpose, setting in place all operating functions to ensure the effective delivery of the Tomorrows Cities project.

Advisory Board
The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide strategic guidance and support to Tomorrow’s Cities (TC) to ensure that the Hub achieves its stated objectives and meets the strategic needs of the funding partner, and all partners. The board helps to identify new opportunities and partnerships and secure potential funding sources to sustain and scale up the impact of the research Hub beyond its current duration. It assists in developing and implementing strategies to embed the outcomes and learnings of the research hub into the policies and practices of relevant international and national stakeholders, such as UN agencies, government agencies, international and national civil society organisations, and private sector entities. The board monitors and evaluates the quality and rigour of the research hub’s methodology, data management, analysis, and publications and provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
