Thaisa has expertise in participatory, community-led and creative approaches to urban development and planning and has worked extensively on initiatives focused on knowledge co-production, transformative multi-hazard resilience and climate adaptation, and informal settlement upgrading. She is passionate about all topics that intersect urban, social, and climate justice.
In Tomorrow's Cities, Thaísa works as Technical Co-lead (Senior Management Team member and liaison), Social Sciences Coordinator and Future Visioning Lead. These roles entail ensuring the scientific excellence of the hub, working closely with city partners to strengthen capacities and train local teams, supporting the hub’s communication, impact and legacy work, and working towards the consolidation of a Community of Practice for equitable risk reduction in the global south.
