Tomorrow’s Cities, with the Municipality of Quito, through the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and the Fundación Museos de la Ciudad, invite you to the opening of ‘A que no vuelva el temblor a sorprendnos furioso’, a new exhibition at Museo del Carmen Alto, opening on Thursday 6 May 2021. The opening of the exhibition will be shared through the Museo del Carmen Alto Facebook account and will be broadcast on the USFQ account from 11:30 Quito Time, 17h30 UK time.

Visitors will be able to view and interact with different resources that are part of the exhibition, such as the installation ‘Stones that speak’, which will explore the history of buildings to show the witnesses and testimonies of these catastrophes.

The Museum is open from Wednesday to Friday, 09:30 to 15:00, last admission at 14:30. You can make your reservation by filling out the online form https://bit.ly/3n1WIvU.

The entrance fee is $3 adults, $2 students, $1.50 children, senior visitors and people with disabilities do not pay admission. We remind you that all activities at the Museo del Carmen Alto are carried out under strict biosecurity protocols.

The partnership between Tomorrow’s Cities and Museo del Carmen Alto aims to open a new look at urban disasters and raise awareness among visitors about the history of the risks we face and reflect on the shared responsibility to prevent disasters in the future.
