More than 40 members of the Tomorrow's Cities hub gathered in Peebles, Scottish Borders, for a pivotal all-hub meeting last week, to discuss and fine-tune the activities of the project for the future.

Now entering its last year of work funded by the UKRI-GCRF, Tomorrow’s Cities is at a crucial stage, with new cities joining the Hub and researchers fine-tuning the Decision Support Environment - the project’s flagship disaster risk reduction framework to facilitate multi-hazard, risk-informed planning and decision-making.

With over 40 members of the hub attending, the intense research discussions were vibrant and dynamic and nothing short of inspiring. The meeting was not only an opportunity to showcase the commitment of the Hub's members to its mission of reducing disaster risk for the poor in future cities, but also a chance for colleagues to meet in person and strengthen bonds. Many of them had never met face-to-face before, and the personal interactions added a new dimension to the discussions, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among the members. The event was a testament to the dedication and passion of the members towards creating sustainable and resilient cities for tomorrow.
